Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

No New Posts Dungeons

Down winding staircases, through damp and chilling walls, witches and wizards find their ways to less than appealing, sometimes drastic, and usually interesting things. Empty classrooms once used for devious ways, torture equipment not properly stored (yet glued by magic so no one can remove the devices) and those still used today by the Potions Professor for storing goods, teaching lessons, and the students who wish to stray from their paths.

Double oak doors open to reveal a large room with high-rise ceilings lit with flickering candles. Across from the double doors is a set of stairs which lead up to the First floor, with descending staircases to either side. Directly to the right are the doors leading to the Great Hall. Standing in a nook are four hourglasses, empty at the beginning of every term, hopefully not at the end, as these hourglasses record House points.

No New Posts First Floor

A place full of knowledge, learning, and illnesses. One floor up and full of empty classrooms, corners, and many hidden areas. The first floor is a rather empty corridor, except for the few spread out classes and the occasional appearance of Peeves, other than the ill student or professor, this corridor is one of the more quieter ones, good for many things, bad for the curious bystander.

No New Posts Second Floor

A popular corridor, the second floor usually bustles with noise. Many seek for the numerous hidden passages which litter this floor, though they avoid, at most costs, the girl's loo. Few go beyond the entrance to the Head Master's Office, unless they are more than sure no one is in the area and will not be for quite some time. This floor is also protected by a number of the famous guard who stand watch at every turn, waiting for those who they need to punish.

No New Posts Third Floor

More like a museum than a school, this particular floor holds two large rooms full of trophies and cups behind glass. In fine tune with the rest of museum qualities, this area is quiet and a good place to study if no other area is quiet enough. The most one will hear here is the tapping of wands against glass trying to figure out how to reconfigure nameplates, break the glass, or change the meaning of an award.

No New Posts Fourth Floor

A place of great plethora of learning, the fourth floor holds much more knowledge than other places in the school. The library is halfway down the corridor to the right and full of answers for most questions, full of questions for the readers, and is mostly full of empty classrooms which are great for studying and other such activities...

This corridor is full of secrets, and not just those that are obvious. Ever heard of a huge tub full of bubbles and great smelling things? What about statues that reveal secrets beyond measure? Or even those pesky suits of Armour that refuse to budge, yet you could swear their helmets were facing the other direction only moments before when you passed them by. Try and discover the secrets all your own, or with another.

This floor is a less populated one, without many magical attributes, such as few passages and little attraction. Though the classes on this particular floor are full of life and magical interest, it seems students do not often stay near the corridor too often. Sometimes though, Peeves may just catch the unaware student well off guard.

Full of life and characteristic magical attributes, the seventh floor makes for a wonderful area for student mischief. The mystery that surrounds this corridor cannot be explained, such as an appearing room with just the right needs; moving Armour; and many depictions of paintings, photographs, and tapestry of magical events and people.

No New Posts Assorted Towers

Here is where all of Hogwarts owls are kept, where the Eagles and Lions live, and where romantic scenes take place in the topmost towers. With the moon shining far down on those brave enough to climb above, the students studying for Astronomy, and the professor staring off, this is a most interesting area of the castle. The shadows that cast down upon the land give eerie visions and the visions those see as the look up at the towers are quite eerie as well.

A world beyond any imagined lies just past a large brick wall. How one gains access is for another to decide, whether they tap bricks, use floo powder, or find other means inside, only those with knowledge can enter inside. Full of shops and quaint areas, there is also a darker side to each store front since the new age has taken place, its up to a witch or wizard to decide where to enter, and where to stay far from.

Areas meant only for Wizarding eyes, as muggle eyes merely slip over the places where these are placed. Throughout all of the UK, there are places meant specifically for Witches and Wizards, and these places want only to be seen by those who have the special knack.

Muggle World

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts United Kingdom

While a large population of witches and wizards live within the UK area, most of the land is still muggle. The fun of it though, is that often witches and wizards can be found pointing at strange things, like coin-operated kiddie rides, watering pails, and the odd or end tossed outdoors. However, all are cautioned when they travel into the muggle world, to be aware of themselves and all around, we don't want to draw too much attention, now do we?

Witches and Wizards love to travel as much as the next person, and sometimes find that traveling by muggle means is easier than by magical. We are found abroad, and now that our secret is out, we're being found more and more often everywhere. Germany, Italy, and Spain are only a few places we might present ourselves for whatever reason, but keep an eye out for that one person staring at a traffic light in disbelief of what it could really mean.

No New Posts Other Worldly Areas

Look over your shoulder, at your neighbor, at the stranger passing by. Could they be one of us? Could they really be the ones you know nothing of? Located throughout the world, Witches and Wizards are everywhere, as muggles are. They stand alone and in crowds, sometimes they blend and other time they don't. It's a matter of time and day, and just why they've stepped out into a world beyond their norm.
