A hidden world of magic didn't seem possible, at least not until the Statue of Secrecy was broken and it was decided both worlds would be better off without it. Everyone in the world is now connected, woven within a web of lies, magic, deception, love, fear, friendship, hate, life, and anguish. Many have profited from the changes that have been made and have moved on with their lives, but for others the end is very near. In this New Age not everyone can win, those with knowledge have power, power equals corruption, and good does not always outweigh bad.
It is for those very reasons the brink of war is upon both worlds

Alot had changed for Matthew since graduteing. He had finally accepted a job at the Ministry working for their Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. It had been a tough decision but he knew he had to take it to get a start somewhere. The only bonus of his job was that they sent him places to research which meant he could study more creatures up close.
He had already been working a little while now and was settling in ok. Bowe was still with him everywhere he went and he happily stayed inside his pocket. Things were looking good for him for once and Matthew was happy. He had managed to get himself a flat, big enough for him to live comfortably. His parents had agreed that they would help him with a place if it meant that he moved out of their house.
Matthew was more than happy with this arrangement. Sitting in the leaky cauldron, Matthew pulled out a list from his pocket. The reason he was here today was because he needed supplies for his apartment. Concentrating on his list, Bowe next to him playing with his quill, Matthew was oblivious to the door of the leaky cauldron opening.

Audra had been keeping some strange hours as of late. Once she'd found herself with her lounge singing gig she had become even more of a night owl, usually choosing to sleep through most of the day before her next show. Today was the exception...Well it was kind of the exception. She'd still been up all night, but she'd been on a run of insomnia lately as well. She tried to convince herself it didn't have anything to do with Darius, but saying all the mantras in the world contrary to that thought had yet to actually take hold in her brain.
In a change of pace Audra found herself at the doors of the Leaky Cauldron. She hadn't been in in a while. With her own club to work at there wasn't much need to go elsewhere. She got a discount there. But she also didn't feel like dealing with the staff or the regular patrons today. Not to mention these were daylight hours. She didn't even know if her establishment was open this early. The ex-Slytherin walked into the Leaky Cauldron, her eyes scanning for a seat. Hmm...
There!
She didn't know if it was the best idea, she hadn't known Matt that great in school, but he was at least someone she knew and someone she was fairly convinced was safe. Plus if she sat with him maybe it would mean no one else would try and bother her. She made her way over to the table and tapped on it with her manicured emerald fingernail. "Hey, Matt. Mind if I take a seat?"
