History:Ciara McCoy was born in the town of Coleraine, Ireland on December 1st, 2013. Her mother was a young witch living there with her parents when she met Garrett Hampton in March. He had been traveling for work more than usual because his wife had just died and it was painful for him to be at home. He didn’t like reminders of his wife and his daughters looked too much like her, especially the oldest, Giulietta. Garrett was distraught and Deirdre realized this and befriended him. Even though she knew he didn’t feel the same way she started to like him more than a friend. A month later Garrett returned to London. When August rolled around Deirdre was shocked to learn that Garrett had been sent to Azkaban for killing three muggles and a wizard. At the time she was already six months along, and then had Ciara in December.
Though she grew up most of her life in a household with only her mother, she never really thought much of it. She was perfectly happy with this, because her mother is like her best friend. There really weren’t any other wizarding families around, and since she didn’t fit in well with the muggle children, Ciara didn’t really have that many friends. This was only because she seemed different or off to others, not that she was not the type to make friends. The first time she met another kid like her was when she was seven. Some twins moved into her neighborhood, and when she and her mother went to welcome them they discovered that they were a half-blood family. The boy twin was named Sasha, and the girl was Heather. Their mother was the witch and she got along really well with Ciara’s mother so the two families spent a lot of time around each other. When Ciara was nine they moved away, which made Ciara really upset because she was once again alone.
When Ciara was eight her mother met Ellar O’Brien. They met on Ciara’s birthday when Deirdre and Ciara were out shopping for her birthday present. Ellar decided to take them out for ice cream with his son, Evander. After going out on some more dates Deirdre finally realized that even though she felt something for Garrett, she had to get over the past. When Ciara was ten, Deirdre and Ellar got married and Ciara got a step-father and a step-brother. Ciara doesn’t really mind the whole thing, she gets along fine with them. Ellar is very nice and seems to enjoy having her as a daughter. He likes to spoil her when her mother isn’t around. Evander is also easy to get along with. When he and his father used to come around before the marriage her friend Heather would always say that he was ruggedly good-looking, smart, funny, romantic, nice, and a heck of a quidditch player. Ciara would always role her eyes because even though Heather was twelve at the time she really didn’t think that she could know much about boys, though she secretly agreed that he was good looking. That stopped as soon as their parents got married, because otherwise that would just be weird. Now they act like regular brother and sister, as if they’d known each other their whole lives. Even though Ciara is perfectly happy with the new additions to her family, she decided to keep her mother’s maiden name, McCoy, and her new father’s last name. With all the change in her life she wanted one thing to stay the way it was, at least a little bit.
Ciara grew up thinking for the longest time that her father had died. When she was nine her mother finally told her the truth. She was resentful for having been lied to, and refused to talk to her mother for a long time. Finally she accepted it, and though she isn’t proud of having a dad who’s a criminal she understands that he did what he did out of grief. Since her mother wasn’t fond of traveling too much she decided to send Ciara to a very small wizarding school in central Ireland instead of Hogwarts her first year. But after much begging and pleading, and a letter Ciara found from her father, her mother finally decided to grant the little ginger’s request and switched her enrollment to Hogwarts in time for her first year. A few weeks before Ciara started at Hogwarts she met Adelina Hampton in Diagon Alley. Ciara knew immediately who the girl was, but she wasn't able to bring herself to tell her that she was her half sister. She wanted to tell the girl several times, but once Giulietta died she felt she couldn't find a good time to bring it up yet...

Other(s):
Economic Status: Middle Class/well-off
Personality Description:Ciara is a very bright girl who always tries to do her best. She is definitely not a morning person so trying to talk to her before lunch is not a good idea. For the most part she is good tempered and kind. Her loyalty level is very high, and she’s normally never afraid to speak her mind. She is a very perky person and can almost always be seen around the castle wearing a smile and ready for a chat. She no stranger to sarcasm, and she’s a good secret keeper and doesn’t gossip, so don’t even try. She really hates it when you pronounce her name wrong. She’ll always tell you, “It’s not see-air-a, it’s key-are-a.”
She can have a little bit of an Irish temper. If she does end up getting angry you best watch out because she has a tendency to bottle certain things up so she lets those things out with her anger. That rarely happens though. She is loving and protective of her family. Her kindness allows her to make friends easily, though she does have a difficult time with purists since she’s basically a blood-traitor. Purist views don’t seem relevant to her because her sweetness doesn’t allow her to be a mean person. She is often considered adorable, which is a fairly accurate assumption; however she can be a bit of a mischief maker at times, so even though she’s all nice and stuff she’s still fun. As she grew older Ciara became more of a major flirt, and kind of a party girl, though she tries not to get into trouble, or at least not caught.
Physical Description:
Height: 5 foot 3 inches
Weight/Build: 112 pounds
Skin Tone: Ivory
Hair Color and Style: Long red hair
Eye Color: Blue/green
Personal Scent: Freshly fallen rain, leaves
Ciara is about around the average height for a 14 year old. This is the same with her weight, although she looks skinnier than she is. Her skin is a very pretty ivory color, and she doesn’t get blemishes often. Her flaming red hair is long, and she normally either keeps it slightly curled which is natural, or when she’s ambitious with it she’ll curl it into little ringlets. Her eyes are a hard color to describe. The closest description would be a blueish-green color and they are her prettiest feature, though in general she is fairly pretty. She doesn’t wear clothes that are too flashy, though she enjoys sparkly dresses on occasion. Normally she’ll wear simple brand name clothes, so jeans, a nice shirt, sometimes a simple dress, and converse or flip flops. She’ll often be seen wearing green, which makes her hair look even brighter.

Special Talents:Celtic history is one of Ciara’s favorite things because history is one of her best subjects. She has a habit of reading history of magic books late at night because it fascinates her. Aside from history she’s not stupid at the other subjects either. Wand-working subjects are the ones she’s better at, but she doesn’t fail at the others. She’s musically gifted on the piano. But she isn’t fond of practicing so not many people have heard her, or know that she’s good at it. She likes to hike a lot and so is good at mountain climbing and such.
RP Example:Glencar waterfall was probably Ciara’s favorite place in the world. Granted wherever there was a waterfall was bound to make a high mark on Ciara’s list of favorite places. She didn’t get to come here often because it was almost three hours away from her house. This was her vacation with her mother before school started. She was excited to finally be going to learn how to be a witch, but she really wished she could convince her mum to let her go to Hogwarts. Nothing at this point would make her happier than going to Hogwarts.
Ciara sighed. Well, at least she could enjoy this vacation now and worry about school later. She’d managed to get to the top of the waterfall without anyone, including her mother noticing. It wasn’t the type of thing she normally did, but it was too great an opportunity to pass up. Sitting up here on top of the waterfall was great! The view was beautiful, and the roar of the water drown out all the other noises around. She sighed and sat back, looking up at the clear sky. The weather was perfect today without anything to ruin it.
“Ciara Laoise Neasa McCoy-O’Brien, I don’t even want to know how you got up here.” Oh great. Ciara sat up fast. Standing in front of her, as always whenever she did something wrong, was her mother. Ciara stood up, guilt written all over her face. She didn’t like breaking rules, and she never purposefully tried to anger her mother. Ciara stayed silent, not wanting to do anything further worse. There was silence for a few moments, but when Ciara looked up her mum didn’t look mad. Confused, Ciara was about to ask what her punishment was, but her mother held up her hand, not allowing her to speak. “I wish I had thought of it first, it’s beautiful up here.” It was well known to Ciara that her mother had been adventurous when she was younger, but she hadn’t expected to be let off easy on this one. She smiled. Her mum could be so cool sometimes.
