The wizarding world is in shock today. When the Statue of Security was broken, the world went into chaos but this takes the cake. An anti-wizard group of muggles, name still unknown, organized three attacks this morning. One on Diagon Alley, one on the ministry of Magic, and another on St.Mungo's. Thankfully because the quick work off Auror Drew Thornton, the explosion at St. Mungo's was stopped. Auror Thornton stopped and arrested a muggle who's name hasn't been released to us yet. He was caught placing a bomb that was disguised in a black backpack in the main lobby of the hospital. There were two other bombs that were stopped from going off but who placed them is still unknown. It seems that these explosions were meant to be secondary as to hit the waves of people coming to get treatment from the first two explosions.

Unfortunately, neither of the other bombings were stopped. Diagon Alley took the biggest hit. We are unsure how many people died in the explosions or all the names of those that have passed. Some people have yet to be identified. These are the list of people that are confirmed casualties:

Several other were injured along with several properties damaged. The Leaky Cauldron took the biggest hit. Many of the patrons that day were killed along with the owner Hannah Longbottom. It seemed to be the main target of the attack in Diagon alley as it also took the most structural damage. Thankfully, the injured were able to move to St.Mungo's to get treatment. A man was seen with a backpack before the bomb went off. He was about 5'11, darker skin, and stocky build if you have any more information please contact the ministry immediately.

The bomb at the ministry took less casualties but not even one is acceptable. Not all the casualties have been identified or their name haven't been released. There are eleven confirmed dead. Here are the names of the confirmed casualties:

Thanks to a quick reaction time from Ministry employees the casualties were not as bad as Diagon Alley. The main target seemed to be the main entrance and so many died because it was a high traffic area. Several were still injured but St.Mungo's is handling them all the best they can. There is already outcries that the Minister of Magic needs to step down from his possession. The wizarding world is outraged that this even happened. How was there not protection in place to stop all of these? The wizarding world wants answers. Who is behind this? Is this the end of it and if not what do they have planned next? Why were there bombs set off in the first place? Is this retaliation or vengeance or are they just trying to start a panic? Is the wizarding world even safe anymore? Is there any hope?

Explosion at Hogwarts: Is Nowhere Safe?

Just as we thought the explosions were done, tragedy stuck again. This time at Hogwarts. While it is unknown yet who is behind these attacks, it was a similar MO to the first two explosions. The ministry received an anonymous tip as to who might be behind it: A muggle professor who's name is not yet being released. The ministry has yet to reveal if the claims were true or not. The bomb went off just outside the Great Hall while the majority of the students were at dinner. Many were injured. A few were tragically lost. The names of all six casualties have been released and are as follows:

We mourn for these students, their families, their classmates, and their professors. Hogwarts will need to rebuild. It won't be easy. A tragedy like this will not soon be forgotten. The Daily Prophet offers out condolences to all involved in this event and the families of the ones we have lost.
