History:
Troy was an advocate for PURE BLOOD ONLY! His father taught him to hate the muggles and the mud bloods. His father ingrained into his head that any wizard who is not a pure blood wizard is not worthy of the title. He learned to bully and belittle. He loved the pure bloods though. He was so close to his father. He knew everything about him and wanted to be just like him.
A month before his 11th birthday, though Troy's dad died. No one would tell him why. Troy thinks he was attacked, but no one could confirm that. When Troy was sitting at home, he heard his mom talking to her friends. It was then that he not only learned that Jay wasn't his dad, but his mom didn't know who his father was. However there was a strong liklihood the man who did father him, was a muggle.
Troy instantly started soul searching. He was so conflicted. His whole life, his father always hated half bloods and muggles and Troy always did everything he could to make life difficult for every non purist he ran across. Now, here he was, the exact thing he always thought was not worthy. He was so glad his dad wasn't alive to find this out. Did his dad know about all this? Why did his mother never tell him that he was really being a bully and hating people that were just like him?
This shattered Troy's self worth overnight. He wondered if his dad would even love him. He wondered if his mom even cared. Why would she string him along like that without telling him the truth? He was angry. He refused to talk to his mother, even after he left for Hogwarts, he never even said goodbye
Troy spent that month before leaving to Hogwarts soul searching. He decided that he would not want anyone to go through what he put others through because of their lineage. What if Troy was the one who got spit on? Who got teased, kicked, cursed, or worst? Troy clearly knew he was a wizard. He still wanted to be a great Quittich player. Troy still wanted to go to Hogwarts. He didn't think his bloodline should stand in his way. Troy decided that he would not do what his "father" had done. Troy would change. He HAD to change. Those things his dad taught him were so deep into him that the only way for Troy to fix himself would be to stand up for the people he hated.
Troy decided that his dad had forced him to grow up too early with all of this. Troy just wanted to have fun. Be a kid. Focus on his sports and training to play quittich. Troy just wanted to drop into the background, but he knew he would not let anyone tease another for their heritage. Troy would show them by example.
His first year at Hogwarts was full of ups and downs. He made the quidditch team as a keeper. The position he wanted to play and did really well, unfortunately, they weren't successful in winning even a single game and were almost non existent in the house cup tournament. Troy had found that he made a series of embarassing mistakes during the year, including getting involved in a fight, making all the students mad at him as he read their private thoughts out loud by mistake, and generally being annoying.
He luckily made a couple friends however, One in Andrew Stark and the other in Hadley St. Thomas, the one half of the twins that actually liked him. After owling back and forth a few times he really started to take appreciation of her friendship. Troy started his second year at Hogwarts full of excitement and ready to see what it would bring!

Personality Description:

Troy now doesn't know who his father is but knows it's very likely that his father was not a wizard. Now Troy gets very angry when he hears others being bullied for their blood lines. Troy has a temper that can snap easily when the right buttons are pressed, but generally very calm and collected.
Troy has a real love for sports, weather he is watching it or participating, he loves to participate any way he can. Some people say it might be an obsession. To a fault though, Troy has been known to go off and play and forget about responsibilities he may have. It has gotten him in trouble several times at home.
When Troy has a friend, he is loyal. He will let people walk all over him just to make sure they get what they need but if constantly taken advantage of will snap. Fool me once, it's ok. Fool me twice, it's still ok. A third time? Understandable, but a fourth time and I will pretend you don't exist and ruin your life. Troy plans to be very faithful to whatever house he gets sorted into. He views it like a competition. Like Quittich. Which he loves.....Because he loves sports.
Troy tends to be overconfident in his abilities, which is his downfall. When faced with a foe or opponent that is more skilled than he is, he refuses to admit it, and will make mistakes easily. Troy will showboat when competing which tends to make people angry. He just gets very caught up in competition. Will get very downon himself, almost depressed when he doesn't perform correctly.

Now being on a broom is more comfortable than walking.
RP Example:
Troy didn't know what to think. After the man he thought was his father (Jay Erikson) passed away from unknown causes, he heard his mom talking to friends about who his real dad might be. Troy couldn't believe what he was hearing. Troy had always gone with his dad to fight against letting muggles into Hogwarts. In his dad's mind, they shouldn't even let half bloods in, let alone muggles. They went picketing together. They bullied and taunted the muggle community, as well as anyone who dared think that half bloods were equal to the pure bloods.
Now, Troy finds out that there is a chance that his real dad might not be a wizard. He was a half blood himself. Suddenly a change happened in Troy. He was what he hated and he learned an instant lesson about bullying. He was angry. Angry that the man he thought was his father taught him to hate half bloods. Something that Troy was. Troy couldn't fake it. He didn't know how to feel. In a moment he knew who he was, and now. Nothing.
Troy felt terrible. He had to right what was wrong. It happened in an instant when he determined he would not only stop judging others by their blood status, but he would protect anyone who dared pick on others. Sure he was only 11. Life experience had given him a confidence though. He would change his reputation. People would see his family in a different light now. Troy was determined.
