Soldater er vi, Hvis liv er stillet til Skandinavia,
Soldiers are we, Whose lives are pledged to Scandinavia,
Soldiers are we, Whose lives are pledged to Scandinavia,
Preface
The very first Olsttadr scribner penned a weak record of the clan Olsttadr since their arrival in Norway from what was the Swedish-Danish kingdom in Southern Scandinavia. The unnamed scribner was also the first living soul to tie the family, then a disgraced tribe of fierce warriors and horders who refused to travel to the mainland to sack Roman settlements, to the more noble and respected Ragnvaldr clan of present-day Stavanger.
Time and tide forced various migrations to occur, but it was not until the late 17th century that the Olsttadr clan began to reclaim tribal holdings in Vestergotland just over the Norwegian-Swedish border. The nameless scribner's account verified their claims as well as their status. Now the name strikes listless awe, respect and even some fear in Scandinavian families, particularly those whose bloodlines can be traced back centuries. Perhaps out of pride, perhaps out of fear of extinction or the clumsiness of forsaking their roots, family (clan, tribe) remains to this day the most important aspect of the lives of Olsttadr and Ragnvaldr (Reynold) men and women. As long as they live, not a single one of them will walk through life without their ancestors.

Dame Margrytte Olsttadr
Margrytte Olsttadr is the second daughter of Tomas Olsttadr and Igrid Sorensen. Born in the spring of 1969, Margrytte was raised by her nanny, Darya Abrasimova, at Vaekero Gard, as was tradition in the aristocratic Olsttadr clan. Occasional visits from her older sister, Kiriya Olsttadr, gave her a better sense of family, though Kiriya visited more often than their parents.
Margrytte was honored as the Maid of Honor for her sister's wedding in 1993, and after Kiriya's first three children died in childbirth, Vaekero Gard served as a refuge for the sisters. In 2002, Odin Olsttadr was born in the castle at a time when Kiriya's marriage hung in peril. Odin was raised by Margrytte alongside her own son, Dagr, until family obligation bore her away to England to live with her own husband.
Family is incredibly important to Margrytte, and Odin and his mother view Vaekero Gard as a haven for when things are difficult for them. It is the only open-door estate in the holdings of the Olsttadr and Reynolds clans, and many different editions of the Olsttadr clan call it their summer holiday home, leaving a unique touch to various wings of this incredible estate. And at the heart of it all is the sentimentality of its landlady, whose emotional appeal has truly enchanted the castle.
Kiriya Olsttadr
Kiriya Olsttadr is the oldest daughter of Tomas Olsttadr and Igrid Sorensen. Born in the winter of 1967, Tomas and Igrid raised Kiriya in their family home outside of Stockholm. The small family was still receiving major issue from the Muggle aristocrats for their exorbitant wealth, and when the market began to crash in the mid 70s, Kiriya was sent away to live with her nanny, Hanna Abrasimova, in St. Peterburg, Russia. During this time, Kiriya and Hanna developed a routine of visiting their sisters at Vaekero Gard.
Kiriya met her husband, Petyr Davishko, when she was 16. As he was a Muggle---though a Russian aristocrat---their courtship was disregarded by her parents, and most of their dating took place within the enchated walls of Margrytte's walls. Their marriage caused a major rift in the relations with Tomas and Igrid, and for a two decade span (only just ended in 2023), an icy silence existed between them. After her only living son, Odin, was born in 2002, Kiriya sought to end the silence, and instead it put a hatchet to her marriage. Petyr Davishko and Kiriya Olsttadr divorced in 2005, following twelve years of marrige (only eight of which were blissful), and Kiriya and Odin moved in with Margrytte.
Family is very important to Kiriya, but protection of her own offspring is the most significant cause in her life. Her son is the most brilliant star in her sky, and she has come to love and be very maternally devoted to her nephew, Rickard Reynolds, as well.
