Full Character Name: Samuel Larsen
D.o.B./Age: April 14, 2014 / 14
Place of Residency: London
Blood Status: Halfblood
History: Dean and Laura knew each other since they were children. The Larsens had always lived in mixed neighborhoods, and fit in without much trouble, and Laura's family lived nearby. Dean went away to school and only saw her in the summers, but it wasn't until after graduation they realized how close they had grown. She was furious when he told her he was a wizard at first, feeling slightly betrayed and more afraid than she would admit, but when she calmed down she realized how many things made sense.
They were married a few years later, and soon Sam was born, followed by two little girls. They were all raised to be well aware of both Muggle and Magical worlds. Sam remembers a few things about the day the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy was broken around the world. His father had looked serious and grim, while his mother couldn't contain her worry. They didn't go outside for quite a few days until Dean said it was safe. Their community had plenty of wizarding families that had lived in secret among muggles, and blended in enough to not be unveiled before then. Luckily for them, the breach of the statute didn't raise too many suspicions, but many families were openly revealing themselves to the people that had lived with for generations. Laura and Dean discussed it for a few weeks, worried about their children, but eventually one of the last families to announce that they, too, were magical.
The reactions varied among their friends; most adults were wary but were soon able to accept their friends as they were, a few were too afraid to approach them. A handful ceased contact entirely. Sam's friends, they just thought he was cool. They asked him to do magic for them, but they were only a little disappointed when he told them that he didn't know how to. After the initial novelty, his friends went back to normal, and only remembered when he accidentally set something on fire.
Parent(s): Laura and Dean
Sibling(s): Two younger sisters (tba)
Other(s): black cat named Lady
Economic Status: Lower Middle Class
Personality Description: Sam is alert, curious and attentive, and bursting with energy and eager to please. He's always trying to figure out how stuff works, especially his mum's Muggle stuff that she absolutely needs, which usually gets him in a bit of trouble. However, he manages to not be punished too harshly, since he readily apologizes and proudly displays the work he's done.
While he is friendly and approachable, Sam has a bit of trouble expressing himself, and doesn't do well with communicating. He doesn't know how people know the right thing to say at the right time. Other than it being a simple answer/question exchange, he gets a little awkward. Sam is more of a action and gesture type of person, and makes friends with smiles with acts of generosity. The same goes for frowns, silence and impatient rejection reserved for those who find their way onto his bad side. It's not a difficult task per se; some things inspire anger faster than others. His sisters might mess with the stuff in his room, and he'll just restore order and move on with his day. If they make fun of him for talking to female friend for too long, he'll get flustered and frustrated with them.
Physical Description: Sam looks like an ordinary kid, average weight and height with a light complexion that makes his dark eyes and straight stand out. He has a small group of freckles on his cheeks and shoulders that come out of hiding after a few hours of sun. Laura stopped trying to pick out his clothes for him when his sister starting doing it for him, so he is usually well put together. If he dresses himself, it's whatever his hand touches first. His mother is always reminding him to sit up straight, since he is usually hunched over something he's trying to figure out.
Height: 4'5''
Weight/Build: Average height for his age,
Skin Tone: Light complexion
Hair Color and Style: Dark brown, and longer than his mum likes, hanging over his eyes.

Special Talents: Sam can pick something apart and teach himself its inner workings without really knowing the theory behind. Most of the gadgets inside his house have been yanked apart before being put together. He eventually will look up information on it, and really round out the details he didn't quite understand. His mom has only caught him a few times, but she suspects that he's done it much more than she knows about. Though he hasn't gotten his hand on a wand yet, he's pretty sure he could figure out some of the spells he's seen his dad cast.

Two seconds later, two sets of feet rushed down the stairs towards the savory and sweet scent that was associated with the first meal of the day. Laura was a muggle, but she had her own kind of magic that summon her children out of thin air. Sam reached the bottom of the stairs first, but he was suddenly in a choke hold as his sister ignored the last few steps and decided to jump on his back instead. Sam made a choking sound before reaching behind him and poking his sisters sides. It resulted in a supersonic squeal that possibly injured him for life, but she let go and he was able to breathe again.
The youngest sibling descended slowly, since her legs were shorter and could only manage one step at a time. "Mummy, when are we going to Diagon Alley?" The tiny one had taken the question right out of Sam's mouth, and he looked at their mother with a hopeful expression. It won him a nervous smile as she served the scrambled eggs. "I don't know yet, that's up to your father." It made sense, since he was the adult wizard in the house, but Sam had hoped he would have had an idea. He'd been reading his supply list over and over since it had arrived, and had it practically memorized. He'd only been to Diagon Alley once, but not he was actually going to buy stuff. For school. School wasn't supposed to be this exciting, but it was somehow.
