History:
Born to a half-blood mother and pureblood father, Quintus was not a surprise child when he arrived only a short year and a half after his sister Quinn was born. The time during which he was born was not of great ease, with the second war having ended many years before his birth, but the economical hardships pressing on everyone in the Great Britain area. Although his family chose to remain out of sight, the Wizarding World felt the same pain as the Muggle one. This was only one of many signs to a young and bright wizard that the worlds mirrored one another.
The economy greatly affected his family as time went into the sixties and early seventies. Julius was forced to take on two jobs when Elisabeth fell ill, only to bear a second son thirteen years after Quintus was welcomed. And although the family tried to sever all ties with their muggle community, it was difficult when there were so many changes, so many dark forces beckoning.
It was during the early seventies that Quintus began school at Hogwarts, two years behind his sister who seemed the perfect, studious Ravenclaw. Quintus had been sorted into Hufflepuff, and although he worked hard, he seemed to have an odd flair for making the most minute details spectacular. During his seven years as a student, he developed many friendships, but with the wrong students, or he ran into the case where they knew his face but nothing more. It seemed no matter what he did, he found "friends" where most would find fright, and he wound up being a strong supporter of Voldemort in his first round of power.
However, after he failed to come to power, Quintus went into hiding, keeping a low profile and being able to maintain a facade of having been controlled by others. It was in the mid-eighties he came to be engaged to a young woman, one he would never marry. While deeply in love with her, she was not with him, and was often rude and exasperated with Quintus because of his dumpy house and family. His two jobs at a time often kept him busy, unable to spend much time with her, and during that time she cheated on him with a number of others he once called friend.
After learning of the hard truths, he again went into hiding, just in time to stay out of sight during the second rise of the Great Dark Lord. Afterward he was able to snake his way into Hogwarts as a new professor, happily taking over for Flitwick who chose to retire early. Since then, he kept a low profile, working as a Professor before the end of the decade when he was able to obtain the Headmaster position from McGonagall.
He has remained in the position for the last five years, keeping a low profile. It has been despite some of the best efforts of others that he has stayed in his position, but he is useful and for those who want things done, he is the perfect man for the job, for now.

Personality Description:
Growing up, Quintus was always the shy person who lingered in the background, just happy to be a part of the crowd, though never of any significance. It was how he managed to be lumped into so many groups while growing up, because he blended in so well, even if his eclectic style singled him out to the others nearby. His passion for the arts and flair he shows today developed at an early age, setting him apart from many of his peers. Despite the off-setting of his nature, many found a strange drawing to him, though most never really learned who he was, more than by face and name.
Whether it was a natural talent, something he developed, or just because he seemed such a part of the background, he had a good ear for anything. Gossip was a second nature for him, though he never spilled anything unless directly asked about it. While many never thought of him as actually being there, the man was ever present around his classmates, listening carefully to plans, in which he always managed to get himself invited along, even if a person barely knew him, which was the case most of the time.
After leaving Hogwarts as a student, he continued his strange fascinations, keeping to himself through most of his adulthood. As time went on, he became more and more alone, keeping to himself, speaking to himself, entertaining only himself. His business partners often scoff at the idea of dealing with him, but somehow they always continue to follow him.
Never one to raise his voice in anger, Quintus is surprisingly dull and eloquent although he prefers all to think him an odd ball in their world, because it is easier.
Physical Description:
Height: 5'10"
Weight/Build: 178 lbs / athletic
Skin Tone: Caucasian
Hair Color and Style: was once dark brown but is quickly greying/ balding
Eye Color: hazel
Not extremely tall, nor well built, the man is mostly average. He has a receding hairline, wrinkling skin, and dark spots. Most would be able to guess he is an average Muggle of the right age. Life has never treated him well and his weather beaten skin would say as much. Thin, but still built, he has recently begun to show weight gain around his middle, straining against his usual robes. He prefers wearing traditional robes to newer, more in-style muggle clothing, with boots and his wizard's hat perched on top of his head.
Likes:

Special Talents:
Quintus has a flair about him that is unmatched. He can pull a party or other event together overnight, full of influential, important people no one thought available for the evening. He has something that draws others to him, though no one can quite place where it comes from, but they feel safe near him, even if uncomfortable. His charm work is exceedingly great, and has obtained his title as Duel Master fairly.
RP Example:
Sitting there, across from him was a man he hadn't expected to see. Yet it was no surprise what he requested, and Quintus found himself happy to supply the information with no persuasion on the man's end. It would mean the disappearance of a student he had been keeping an eye on, as he was a special interest case. The family was odd, strange, but he noticed the ambition in the boy's father and he wanted to know more about it.
Another might call him wicked for attempting to help, but he saw no other way around it. There were things brewing and it all made sense. Why not start it there, right at the castle. No one would look to him with the disappearance, not after the murders stopped suddenly, but he knew the plans for them to begin again. No one was safe anymore, they'd taken matters into their own hands. Anyone soft was to perish if they could not stand on their own, like the Forstner girl. He knew her father, a good man, but a weak one. He had thought his eldest would be strong enough, the way she managed to hold her own, but she'd gone soft on all of them. Even today, only her mother and youngest sister survived.
It was a shame, but it was necessary. So with a nod, he agreed. It would happen, and he would make the necessary information leak into the student system, starting with the portraits who often pretended to sleep in his office. From there, he would spread the words to the ghosts around the castle, and the fire would be fanned...
