Parents
Audra’s parents met when her father was in college and her mother was almost two years out of Hogwarts. They both had mutual friends who were basically the reason they met at all while at the reception of their friend's wedding. They immediately hit it off but it was quite a while after that before they started dating. Within a few more years they finally got engaged. It took them time before Emily finally convinced Justin to agree to have kids. Once they started to get older she realized that they had very different points of views about things and they just grew apart. There was a lot of fighting going on and eventually they decided to get a divorce. Afterwards they were still good friends because without the pressure and fighting they were able to get along.
Childhood
At first it wasn’t clear if Audra would live long after she was born. She was a preemie and was very weak, she almost never started breathing. It was clear though once she was a year old that she would be small but a fighter. Starting out painfully shy, throughout the years she became more independent and headstrong. After her parents’ divorce she became especially close to her mother, almost to the point of being best friends. She isn’t afraid to be around her mum in public, but if she starts doing or saying something embarrassing she will deny knowing her. Audra and Dani have the typical older younger sister relationship. They argue and squabble over the smallest things, but if someone messes with either one of them they will kill for the other one. When they were younger the fights were more common, now it just ends in a shouting match and slamming doors.
The Hogwarts Years
Emily didn't tell Justin about her being a witch until Danica got her acceptance letter to Hogwarts which was one of the things that started driving them apart. It wasn't that he didn't accept her, he just couldn't believe that she had kept that part of herself from him for all those years which hadn't been easy. By the time Audra was in her third year the divorce was final and every two weeks when they weren't in school she and her sister would switch off with both parents every two weeks. While Audra was closer to her mother, Danica grew closer to her father. Many times they got in fights about which one was the one with the most wrongs but they still love both their parents very much. After all their parents fighting it was almost a relief for the girls when they got the news of the split. They didn't take it too hard although while trying to convince her mum to start dating again she has an issue with the girlfriend her dad already acquired for himself. While their family seems like it'd be dysfunctional it somehow works and that makes Audra happy.
Being at Hogwarts is one of the best things that ever happened to Audra. While her mother didn't tell her father what she was she told Danica and Audra as soon as they were old enough to understand and to grasp that they couldn't tell their father. She didn't enjoy lying but it was surprisingly easy but she was glad when she was finally able to stop hiding it. Of course it was a mad house when it finally got out. Besides her parents fighting Audra became incredibly jealous of her older sister. It was a tense time between the two until she was finally able to join her where they finally started getting along better again.
While at Hogwarts Audra came to make friends with very few people. The most prominent being one Darius Orphe. While initially their relationship got off to a rocky start they slowly grew to tolerate each other. Tolerance turned to friendship and that developed into whatever strange mess they found themselves in. At first it seemed like they both agreed more or less to a friends with benefits relationship, but in Audra's sixth year she finally admitted to having feelings for the boy. While talking about what was after Hogwarts Audra realized she didn't know at all what she wanted to do with her life as an adult. The explosion that occurred that year also pushed her more in the direction of a dislike for muggles, even the ones at Hogwarts, leaving her teetering on the edge with her opinion of them. All this new knowledge eventually caused her to realize she didn't want to waste another year at school for a career still unknown. Audra did not return to school for her seventh year.
Freedom
After leaving Hogwarts Audra realized that she couldn't live her life without some form of a job. Without any real plan as to what she wanted to do with her life she wandered around town for a while, just looking for anything that sounded even remotely interesting. She was about to give up when she passed by a club that was holding open auditions for a lounge singer. Since she'd always loved to sing the girl went in on a whim and was hired that night.
Personality Description: When it comes to being around her peers Audra is talkative and sarcastic, friendly and good for a laugh. She has to have a good sense of humor because she gets the brunt of a lot of short jokes. She takes them very well though and will often just laugh along with them. She's friendly yet there can be times when she has an easily triggered temper and a bit of an attitude. Sometimes she can come across as shy and she can be strange sometimes, but once you get to know her she is a really awesome person. There are even times when she likes being a little flirty but often she doesn't even realize she's doing it.
Books and anything fine arts are always a joy for Audra. She doesn't like running or really anything athletic besides swimming or football (soccer) she loves to play quidditch. Audra doesn't have any prejudices against any house in particular. Obviously she doesn't get along with everyone, but she'll give them a chance at least. She can normally tell if someone is trouble so it'll take longer for her to trust them. Once you do earn her trust you can be guaranteed that she'll never betray you. As of late she has not been as tolerant of muggles as she once was.
Physical Description:
Height: 5' 2"
Weight/Build: Petite
Skin Tone: Caucasian
Hair Color and Style: Dark brown, long
Eye Color: Hazel, changing
Personal Scent: Caramel and brown sugar
Audra has an unconsciously good sense of fashion, everything always coordinating very well. She can come across as goth sometimes but she really is far from it. It mostly comes from her dark looks. Dark colors look the best on her and the clothes she wears are normally more high end. Her hair is almost always down or half up. She'll wear any type of shoe from flats to freakishly tall heels (which she wears a lot to make herself look taller).
Likes: {at least List 3}
Dislikes: {at least List 3}
Special Talents: While being smart in most things Arithmancy is not one of them. Audra is particularly gifted with Divinations and Transfiguration but doesn't have much patience for potions. There have been more than a few incidents where there was a slight explosion. She's tried to advance her knowledge in it, but without a tutor she takes the bad grade with head held high. Audra has no shortage of artistic or musical ability. She has a beautiful voice and can usually pick up an instrument really quick. She also is a very good painter and loves to sketch.
RP Example:
"Dani! Where's my wand?"
"I don't know! Maybe you left it at dad's?"
Audra glared at her sister, the lie so obviously written on her face. "You know you have a terrible poker face, right?" The younger sister stood on her tiptoes in an attempt to make better eye contact so that she could stare the elder down. "Hand it over."
"No can do little sis. Not till you give me back my curler."
"For the thousandth time, I didn't take it...Well, I did but then I put it back. So there's no reason that you can't give me my wand."
Dani looked away awkwardly. "No I'm serious. You took my curler back at Dad's so I took your wand and kind of forgot it there." Audra looked at her sister with a blank look. "On the bright side Mom is on her way to get it." When her hopeful smile still didn't erase the look on Audra's face she admitted, "Okay so maybe I lied a little bit. She's not right at this moment, but I fully intended to go and ask her before you found out so...I guess now would be a good time."
"Ya think?" Audra shook her head and rolled her eyes. She really couldn't blame her sister. After all, she'd just been about to ask their mum if she could go back and get Dani's hair straightener before she noticed it was gone. As her sister turned away the dark haired girl went to check her purse one more time to make sure the iron wasn't there. As she had expected it wasn't. Why wasn't there a spell that could make a hair iron appear? Even if there was though she thought, I still couldn't use magic.
A yell sounded throughout the house and Audra winced. "Audra, you are so dead!" Crap...
