History:
Parent(s): Anne Marie Bennett McKenna and Garrett Michael McKenna
Sibling(s): two older brothers, Michael Stephen(+3) and Christopher Allan (+2)
Other(s): Goes by the nickname of Bear (only family and really close friends know it's from his mother calling him her Baby Bear)
Economic Status: Middle Class (comfortable, but not wealthy)
Brian was born into a fairly average family, the youngest of three boys. Garrett and Anne had met at Hogwarts, got married, and started a family. Their three very active children had a relatively normal wizarding upbringing, playing in the Youth Quidditch Leagues and getting into the usual sorts of scrapes young boys tend to do. The McKennas did their best to keep their young family happy and healthy.
Growing up in the shadow of two older brothers wasn’t always the easiest, and even though Mike and Chris weren’t exactly angels, Brian seemed to have the lion’s share when it came to finding trouble (no offense to the Gryffindors out there). He was consistently trying to prove himself, needing to show everyone that he was just as big, just as fast, and just as smart. Like the rest of his family, he got his Hogwarts letter at 11, and like the rest of his family, he was happy to get sorted into Ravenclaw. His older brothers hassled him in the common room, just as they often did at home, but Merlin help anyone else who tried to give the youngest McKenna a hard time. Brian didn’t mind the occasional wrestling matches because not only did it mean his brothers were paying attention to him, they also taught him all of their secrets. As Brian grew older and his brothers graduated, he came into his own and managed to get into his own share of problems, thus keeping the legacy of the McKenna brothers alive.
With a streak of daredevil like his older brothers, Brian was in trouble almost as often as he was in the library or on the Quidditch pitch. While there are rumors that his Head of House needs a separate cabinet just for his thick file, Brian is a good student, excelling in almost all of his classes. He is also a strong Quidditch player and in his sixth year, was awarded captain of the team, a position he had been hoping for for many years. During his term as Captain, his team was undefeated. He has consistently earned high marks in all subjects, but is known for getting into hot water for his risky behavior and his sometimes goofy escapades.
As he nears the end of his time at Hogwarts, he's not 100% sure what he wants to do. Being daring, but not necessarily ambitious, he thinks he might like to give Curse Breaking a try.
Personality Description:
Brian is generally outgoing and friendly, and likes to be the life of the party. He has a huge competitive streak from consistently trying to match up with his brothers, but in the end, just hanging out with friends and having a good time is the best reward. He has a kind heart that doesn't always show in the ways that it should. He wouldn't ever maliciously want to hurt another person, but sometimes cracks a joke at another's expense just to get a laugh out of his friends. He likes to be helpful, and will give his all at any given task, even if he’s not too thrilled about actually doing it. He is a loyal friend and will do just about anything in his power for the people he cares about.
Brian likes to goof off, have fun, and play the fool. People may find him slightly obnoxious but it’s only his closest friends who get to see a different side. He can sometimes be introspective, and has a tendency to worry about small details if he thinks the situation is particularly important.
He is outgoing and friendly, tending to see the better side of people at a first meeting. On the other hand, if he is double crossed or hurt by another, he does not easily forgive.
Brian’s discipline record may not be the cleanest, but at the same time it is well known that he would never knowingly put others in danger. He’s not afraid to take a risk, but will back down if he feels someone will get hurt in the process. While he is generally respectful and easy-going, he will stand up for what he believes in, even if the decision does not affect him personally one way or another.
Physical Description:
Height: 6'2"
Weight/Build: 150 lbs, slim athletic build
Skin Tone: slightly tanned with some freckles due to being outdoors a lot
Hair Color and Style: medium brown, worn on the longer side
Eye Color: hazel
Brian is a fairly average looking kind of guy. He keeps fit, enjoying Quidditch, basketball, and football, but really isn’t overly concerned about how he looks. Preferring to spend his time outdoors, he usually sports a tan and has a smattering of freckles across his nose. He has hazel eyes and medium brown hair which he tends to keep on the longer side, perfect for that all important hair flip.
When at school, he wears his robes fairly neatly but with an air of casualness. During his free time, he prefers cotton t-shirts and jeans but will dress for the occasion even if it means black tie and tails. While his choice is a more laid back appearance, he likes to look nice and has no problem dressing formal.
He has no tattoos or piercings, but has a number of scars on his body from various minor injuries he has incurred over the years, most of which aren’t very noticeable unless attention is drawn to them.

Special Talents:
Brian is a strong athlete and does well in his lessons, especially in wand work and potions. He tends to be fairly well behaved, but has a knack for getting into mischief. He is organized and likes to plan his ideas out before moving forward. He is a decent dancer and can play the guitar. He can also shove a whole bag of marshmallows in his mouth at once and can toss a garden gnome farther than either of his brothers.
RP Example:
So how in the heck had he managed to do it again? The first week of school had barely even started and he was already in hot water. Okay, so perhaps he shouldn’t have taken all that talk about a monster living in the girl’s loo seriously, but how could he not check it out for himself? It had been one of those things where he either needed to see it for himself, or prove wrong the idiots who made the claim in the first place.
As he sat in front of his Head of House’s office, waiting to be seen, he kicked at the cracks on the stone floor, wishing to be anywhere else at that moment. What had been the big deal anyway? It wasn’t like the girls ever used that particular rest room to begin with. He wouldn’t have even been caught if it hadn’t been for the flood. How that had started, he had no idea, but the rush of water leaving the girls’ restroom, and the fact that he was now drenched from head to toe was the only proof anyone needed.
“Mr. McKenna?” a stern voice called from inside the office, the door slowly opening and giving an ominous creak. Heaving a heavy sigh, Brian got to his feet and splashed through the entrance, wishing he had at least been given the chance to change clothes before facing his sentencing. Oh well. They’d have to clean up the puddle he had left behind.
